University History
Established in March 2011 by the NP Group, a leader in neuroscience and psychiatry research, Üsküdar University aims to reflect its academic identity and research achievements in these domains. In the same year, two institutes for social and health sciences were founded, and education officially began in the 2012-2013 academic year.
In 2014, the first cohort of students from the Vocational School of Health Services graduated. By 2015, the university participated in the “Brain Initiative” program in the USA, and the NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital became part of the university, marking it as the first psychiatric hospital accredited by JCI.
Location of the University
